Joe Biden an Introduction...

Biden has a lengthy history of lying about himself, his past, and incidents that have never happened. He frequently did this to enhance his reputation and to bolster his intellectual credentials.

First of all, a video showing Biden bragging at a 1987 rally, "I went to law school on a full academic scholarship and ended up in the top half of my class," is making the rounds online. He added that he "graduated with three degrees from undergraduate school" and that he was an "outstanding student in the political science department." None of those assertions were true; in fact, Biden graduated from law school in 76th place out of a class of 85 students, received only a partial scholarship, and did not receive the top honors in his undergraduate discipline.

Neil Kinnock's speech was lifted in parts by Biden during the 1987 campaign. Biden repeated nearly precisely the same narrative about his wife as Kinnock did, including the bogus claim that he was the first person "in a thousand generations" to graduate from college. Even more astonishing, Biden asserted that "My ancestors worked in the coal mines of Northeast Pennsylvania and would come up after 12 hours and play football for four hours," despite the fact that no one in his family tree has ever been an underground worker. That was the Kinnock's family.

Biden had previously been found to have plagiarized. He had to grovel to avoid being booted from law school after taking five complete pages without giving credit from a published law review article.

It's interesting that Biden's climate proposal sparked objections from people who felt he had copied their ideas. Some portions of Biden's plan appear to have been cut and pasted from several sources, sometimes with very minor alterations.

Moreover, Biden has stated in front of crowds that after serving as Vice President "I became a teacher. I became a professor" despite never having taught students in his life.

Then there was the admirable account of traveling to Afghanistan to pay tribute to a valiant navy officer. Biden described the officer's actions in full, adding, "This is God's truth, my word as a Biden" even though there had been no such occurrence.

Also, there were Biden's allegations that he was detained in the 1970s when attempting to see Nelson Mandela in prison. This never took place. Moreover, he has portrayed himself as a co-sponsor of the Endangered Species Act and a civil rights activist, neither of which are accurate.

Character doesn't change, and his history of lying is at the very least informative.
