Pharmacide There are numerous conspiracies revolving around pharmaceutical companies and the role they play in profiting off of keeping people sick and dependent on their pills rather than actually curing their ailments. Aside from price gouging the consumer it has been stated by these companies that cures are bad for business, rather maintaining chronic diseases is where the cash is. Furthermore, pharmaceutical companies are also said to invent and brand many things that aren't even diseases or disorders after which they create the treatments to generate a consistent profit stream. The result is doctors treating non-existent or greatly exaggerated illnesses solely for the profit of the pharmaceutical companies. It is also said that many of the drug companies work closely with the government to create monopolies and raise the barrier of entry for smaller drug companies to compete. Through doing so, they make it difficult for smaller companies to introduce a superior product without being able to get the proper approval from various government agencies such as the FDA. Drug companies often conduct their own studies and clinical trials which ultimately get their drugs approved for marketplace. The FDA has failed us by leaving the wolves guarding the hen house lining their own pockets in the process... |
