Michael A. Cremo, an American independent researcher, aligns
himself with Vedic creationism and identifies as an "alternative
archaeologist." He co-authored the book "Forbidden Archeology"
with
Richard L. Thompson, where they expound upon the concept that humans
have inhabited Earth for millions of years. Cremo fervently advocates
for the existence of modern humans dating back as far as 30 to 40
million years.
In his seminal work "Forbidden
Archaeology," Cremo asserts a bold claim: humans have existed on Earth
for tens to hundreds of millions of years. He contends that the
scientific community has deliberately suppressed fossil evidence
supporting the notion of extreme human antiquity. For instance, citing
the grooved spheres found in pyrophyllite mines
in Ottosdal, South Africa, Cremo proposes the possibility that these
spheres could be manmade artifacts dating back as far as 2.8 billion
years.
