Coral Castle is a limestone structure created by the Latvian American named, Edward Leedskalnin. It is located in Miami Dade County, Florida, between the cities of Homestead and Leisure City. The structure comprises of numerous large stones, mostly limestone formed from coral, each weighing several tons. Coral Castle is noted for legends surrounding its creation that claim it was built single handedly by Leedskalnin using reverse magnetism or supernatural abilities to move and carve numerous stones, each weighing many tons. Ed spent 28 years of his life from 1923 to 1951 carving the Coral Castle using nothing but homemade tools. He carved over 1,100 tons of coral rock single handedly and without the help of machinery. No one knows exactly how Ed managed to move the stones. Among the sculptures within the garden walls you can see a telescope, rocking chairs, sundial, obelisk, bathtub, throne, table and a model of the Solar System. Historians stated that, "If anyone ever questioned Ed about how he moved the blocks of coral, Ed would only reply that he understood the laws of weight and leverage well."  He also stated that he had "discovered the secrets of the pyramids", referring to the Great Pyramid of Giza. He worked at night and no one ever saw him moving the stones, so it is possible perhaps that he did discover these secrets...
