Raymond Eveleth Fowler, an esteemed American author, has garnered recognition primarily for his dedicated investigations into UFO sightings and close encounters, particularly within the New England region of the United States. Notably, Fowler's work extensively covers the Betty Andreasson Luca Alien Abduction case, showcasing his meticulous documentation of UFO phenomena. Additionally, he delved into and chronicled the Allagash Abductions, a notable case involving multiple alleged abductions.

Fowler's substantial contributions to the field of ufology were reflected in his roles as Director of Scientific Investigations for MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) and as an author of an earlier edition of the MUFON Field Investigators Manual. He also served as the Scientific Associate for the Center for UFO Studies and held key positions within NICAP (National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena), initially as an associate member and later ascending to the chairmanship.

Later in his life, Fowler bravely shared his personal experiences as an abductee, notably exploring this in depth in his autobiographical work, 'UFO Testament: Anatomy of an Abductee.' During an interview with Rosemary Ellen Guiley, Fowler detailed aspects of his abduction encounters, drawing parallels with other abductee testimonies such as those of Betty and Barney Hill and Betty Andreasson Luca. Initially acknowledging his own abduction experiences in books like 'The Watchers I' and 'The Watchers II,' Fowler continued to produce literature on this subject, sharing his personal encounters and previously unpublished local investigations.
